New arrangements for visiting household waste recycling centre
From 14 January 2026, you must book in advance before visiting a household waste recycling centre. OCC are introducing bookings to help reduce queues and make visits quicker and easier.

Book before you visit
You must book a slot online before visiting a household waste recycling centre from 14 January 2026. Bookings are available up to two weeks in advance or 30 minutes prior, subject to availability.
Booking is easy:
- Choose a household waste recycling centre
- Enter the type of waste you are bringing
- Choose a date and time
- Enter your details
You will then be sent a confirmation email with all the necessary details. The email will explain what to do if you have any chargeable waste and your weekly free allowance.
